About this project:
A showpiece of a room, this transitional kitchen marries outsized quartz elements with the warm white oak of our Executive Cabinetry frameless line. The resulting combination is a contemporary stunner that feels both modern and welcoming.
The gorgeous kitchen island at the center of the room features a waterfall quartz countertop and a shiplap backer panel that was built by Maine Cabinet Company in our shop. LED lights highlight the shiplap from below the island. evoking the feeling of a night out at an upscale restaurant. Rejuvenation Butte cone pendant lights hang overhead, contributing to the sensation of being somewhere special.
The island also features navy cabinets. This pop of color was added at the request of the homeowners and adds an element of modernity.
Not to be outdone by the kitchen island, the well-balanced range wall is a design feature in and of itself. A full-height quartz slab backsplash is offset by a custom white oak tapered range hood and flanked by 48” stacked upper cabinets. Three drawer bases are stacked below, offering maximum storage.
Well-concealed Thermador appliances sit throughout the kitchen, contributing to its clean and modern look. The refrigerator and freezer columns are hidden by paneling on each end of the sink wall and blend in seamlessly with our custom cabinets. The Sharp microwave drawer base in the center of the island keeps the countertops in both the kitchen and pantry clutterless and free of added appliances.
We paid the same attention to detail when we designed the pantry, which is tucked away behind the range wall. Its navy cabinets reflect those of the kitchen island. We also used the same quartz for the pantry countertops and backsplash. The open shelving creates a spacious feel in an otherwise compact room
